Monkey See/Monkey Do 5/21

My Monkey See/Monkey Do this week is inspired by This post from The Nailasaurus.

Since I don't have any aEnglands I used what I had. This is a base of Glitter Gals Fuschia 3D sparkle, then sponged with OPI DS Signature and Glitter Gal Lizard Belly using the same technique she used in her post. I love how it turned out. It reminds me of watermelon.

It's neat! Please excuse the craptastic pictures. This mani was so holo that the camera wouldn't focus and when it did it was all weird and turned my skin tone red. Also, my index finger keeps breaking and peeling, and just generally pissing me off, thats why it is cut off in most pics.

as always please see my disclaimer page about the Monkey See/Monkey Do manis.

another watercolor

I was talking to my BF one night and asked him what I should do to my nails. He said, "Gray, purple, and black." I think he was just trying to feign an interest in my ramblings that night.

Heh, little did he know, I can do anything with polish. ;-)

This is what I came up with, Dove, black, and to be perfectly honest, I cannot remember the purple I used. Sorry. all watercolored up.

I know this one is blurry, but I liked it as i was trying to blur the lines anyway.

Stampy Sunday 5/13 Mothers Day edition

The theme this week is plates ending in 5. The second place was holo, so I did both. Today is also Mothers Day in the United States, so I worked a mom mani in there too. Seeing as it's floral and all, I figured it would work. :)

So this is a base of Pure Ice Vinyl Remix Magic Basecoat white, covered with 1 coat of GG Light as a Feather, stamped with BM205 for both stamps first layer is Ozotic 515, and then GG Dark Purple 3D holo.

Pure Ice Vinyl Remix

I got some very interesting polishes in the mail to review. These are new. I've never seen something like these. They are black crackle, but they are a color, also. Pure Ice has a new collection called Vinyl Remix. <<Click on that to see more about it. it is all kinds of awesome.
Here are the sets i received:

They all come with a white base, which quite honestly is AWESOME! It covers in 1 coat. When I play with these more I will post more about them. I wonder if it is just plain white or if there is truly something special about it. I will have to use other polishes with it and report back.
So here is what I came up with.

OOOOOOH and a VIDEO, TOO!!!!

I don't know why there is no thumbnail, but i assure you there is a movie there!
This is unlike any "crackle" that is out there. You really need to experience this for yourself. I am unsure how much these are going to run, but you get 2 polishes in a pack. And these polishes are SO worth it! Bravo Pure Ice/Bari Beauty for putting out a neat unique polish!

MandyPants franken!!!

This is another Mandypants franken I got. Unfortunantly, she didn't name this one...but it's BEAUTIFUL!!! It's all kinds of fuschia with Spectraflair. This is my first polish with spectraflair! Everything about this polish was perfect! The bottle, a tiny diamond shaped bottle. I love my Mandypants!

Maybe we'll get lucky and she'll name it in the comments...:)

Thanks Mandypants!!!

Monkey See/Monkey Do 5/7 Edition!

My Monkey See/Monkey Do mani today is inspired by a very special Monkey. Krisin truly has been an inspiration to me. She and I have become great friends. She is great! So this is the post I drew inspiration from. The Manicured Monkey Sally Hansen Lapis Amethyst Striping.

So here is my take on it.

This is Mimi and Just Spotted the Lizard. soooooo, I couldn't decide what picture to use, so you get a bunch. :) I love this so very much! I think I am going to need a back up bottle of Just Spotted the Lizard... it's so pretty!
