February Crave Box

In December, I signed up for another sample service called Crave Box.
It is $10 a month, and everyone gets the same thing. none of this filling out a beauty survey and hope you answer correctly to get cool stuff. This is random stuff, treats, stuff for your home, beauty...It's very neat! I have really liked every one I have gotten.

My first one came in December. I was pleased with it. It had Swiss chocolate in it (so that was a winner in and of itself.), lotion, pens, more chocolate, and a Nic's Sticks in hot pink!

January I got a bottle of EVOO. (strange, I know, but hey, it came in handy when I ran out), Emergen-C vitamin drink mix (a full box, again, came in handy I always drink it when I feel a cold coming on.), facial toning gel, an issue of Prevention Magazine, and a pedometer.

This month I started taking pictures because I am pretty sure I am going to keep this service.
List and pictures of items. Six, count them SIX permanent markers, Downy wrinkle releaser, 2 granola bars, vitamin boost energy drink mix, facial moisturizer, and a cleansing foam.

Here is the box as it came.

The Moisture Bound Skin Energy Hydration Delivery System is sooo great. It smells divine, and feels wonderful on my face! I haven't tried the cleanser yet. I'm a little skiddish about trying new cleansers.

Ahhh, wrinkle releaser! How'd they know? It is Light Fresh Scent. It reminds me of those air freshners that are fresh linen or clean cotton. it's nice.

I've been saving these, I think one shall get eaten tonight. It says "Think Thin" but they are pretty high in calories. One is 190, and the other is 230.

I love this service. it's not only make up, but things you can really use. I'm impressed so far, CraveBox, keep it up!!!

Give them a try! CraveBox or look them up on facebook!!!

Stampy Sunday 2/26 edition!

Hello, welcome to Stampy Sunday!

This edition was so much fun!!! I LOVE this, and will probably redo it many times!

First off, lets see the base coat. I was in the mood to use some under used polishes I have. I went for my Catrices! Look at this. How GORGEOUS of a color is this? It is After 8. It's just so beautiful.

Ok, on to the Challenge. The theme this week was to use 3 colors for the entire manicure. Here it is. Catrice After 8, and I'm A Star..., stamped with m63 and Color Club Antiquated.

Thanks for reading!!!

Watercolor Tutorial!!!

So I've done a watercolor before. I got so many compliments on it I have done it 3 times since. Then I was asked to do a tutorial. So...Here it is. This is going to be a little wierd, but yeah...It's pretty easy!

First off, materials. You will need:
nails painted a base coat (I used Lavender Cloud)
a thick fast drying top coat (Seche)
as many colors as you want to watercolor (I used Kelly, Ibiza, and Tru)
a quarter inch paint brush (Or, the brush you use to clean up your mani)
Acetone

I know I have Dove pictured above, but I tried it with Dove and it was too light, I went with Kelly.
so a small dot of polish, take your art brush dip it in acetone, and with a light touch (as to not go through the seche, which I did a couple of times) move it around, make a design. Repeat with other colors.

Pretty easy, huh?

This is the finished product.

Try this!! It is incredibly easy!

Stampy Sunday 2/19 edition

A plate ending in the #3 hrmmm, I thought of this one a while back, but never did it. I'm disappointed in it, I mean it turned out ok and all, but I'm rather "meh" about it. :( So here is OMG, origianlly I was going to stamp with KleanColor Metallic Black (which you can see on my pinky) but it was VERY difficult to work with, so I switched to Revvvolution plate bm203 and Posh plate bm03. A TWO-FER!!!

I know I didn't line it up exactly, and I probably should have just done a french tip. oh well. next time, maybe! :) Thanks for reading!!

Soflajo Druid Circle.

So Jody Alu @ Soflajo.com has started her own polish line sold here. I was lucky enough to get one to review from her!!! She send me Druid Circle. It is a clear topcoat that has a green/yellow flash. I put it over black, white, several greens, and a contrast. Lets take a look, shall we?

This is what was in the package. I wore my little butterfly out shopping with my grandma today! It made her giggle.

So the underwear colors. All are Orly. from Thumb to pink: Purple Crush, White Out, Fresh, Enchanted Forest, and Liquid Vinyl

k, first a little blurry so you can see the sparkle. OOOOO, pretty.

Now a little clearer

CLOSE UPS!!!!

My absolute favorite is over Enchanted Forest. It makes the yellow pop!
This was a very unique topcoat. I LOVED it. It went on smooth, and STAYED smooth.

Thank you Jody for letting me review this for you! :D
Now these are mini bottles, but it's ok because they are top coats, you'll only be doing 1 coat, so no need to layer it up until it is opaque. They are $5 per bottle, and shipping: is $2 for the first & .50c per polish after, or international $3 &.75c per polish after

Here is her introduction of the line: Year Of The Dragon

NerdLacquers Doctor Who polishes.

So I found NerdLacquer on Etsy. (click her name to go to her shop.)
She makes Doctor Who inspired polishes! (she sells out often, you can convo her or wait for it, she will get them back in stock)
I had to have them based on the names alone. I wanted more, but you know...money and all...I will save up to get more, eventually.

So here are the ones I got:

The one in the square bottle was a freebie she threw in, because her store has gotten more hits than she's used to, so shipping was slow, but they are worth the wait. :)

"Don't blink. Don't even blink.
Blink and you're dead.
They are fast. Faster than you can believe.
Don't turn your back...
 don't look away...
 and DON'T blink."

Obviously from Blink. The episode that started my obsession with all things Whovian. My boyfriend said "I want you to watch this with me." After seeing this episode, I IMMEDIATELY went to netflix and watched every episode available. I even went on daily motion and found where I could see older ones. I've now seen every episode from the 3rd Doctor on.
This is Don't Blink a Macro bottle shot:
And I can't decide which I like it better over, This is Don't Blink over black, then over white.

 "Do you have a name?"
"Seven hundred years and finally he asks..."
"What do I call you?"
"I think you call me...Sexy."
"Only when we're alone."
"We are alone..."
"Oh. Come on then, Sexy."

This scene is from one of my favorite episodes of Doctor Who. The episode is called The Doctor's Wife, it's about the TARDIS becoming human. It's very sweet. The line "What makes you think I'll give you back?" makes me cry.

This is I Think You Call Me...Sexy. Macro bottle shot:
Over Frostbite, then 3 coats by itself. I like it better by itself.

Doctor: Rose, you've got to stop this, you've got to stop this now! You've the entire vortex running through your head, you're gonna burn!
Rose: I want you safe, my Doctor. Protected from the false God.
Dalek: You cannot hurt me. I am immortal.
Rose: YOU ARE TINY! I can see the whole of time and space, every single atom of your existence, and I divide them. Everything must come to dust. All things. Everything dies.

Another one of my favorite episodes; The Parting of Ways. This is where we say goodbye to the 9th Doctor. I loved Eccleston, but Tennant quickly made up for it. Also, another brilliant line from that episode, "New teeth...thats weird." Though, I am not sure if this was the inspiration for this polish. The wording is a little different. This polish makes me think of Rose (mainly because of the pink glitter). Still a spectacular and very moving scene.

All of Time and Space, macro bottle shot:
over China Glaze Re-freshment (pardon the angry cuticle), and 3 coats alone.
Another I like better alone.

This one she sent me because shipping took a little longer than expected. I was antsy to get my polishes, but I was perfectly fine waiting. This polish didn't have a name, all it had on it was ╘c so I can only assume it is a franken that didn't make the cut. Let me tell you. I love this polish. Bright blue and black square glitter, and gold & blue micro glitter in a forest green base THAT FLASHES PINK!!!!! You read that right, GREEN THAT FLASHES PINK!!!

You can kinda see a little bit of the pink in this picture...it is subtle. There is so much going on in this polish. It is great!

This is alone, and over Orly Enchanted Forest.
Again, this one looked better alone.

All of them were somewhat sheer to begin with but all built up nicely with 3 coats and were all perfectly smooth with 1 coat of SV on top. Drying time was normal. Wear was great (3 days, which is longer than I normally keep polish on and would have lasted longer, I am sure.)

So thats it. Those are my NerdLacquers. I will be looking forward to making another order.
